Anthropic's Claude Tag answers in Slack channels, and Microsoft Teams is on its waitlist. If the people who need Claude live in Teams, a SlackBridge channel bridge lets them tag Claude now: the question becomes a real mention in Slack, and Claude's answer comes back to the Teams thread. SlackBridge is independent of Anthropic, Slack and Microsoft.
Quick answer. Claude Tag works in Slack, on Claude Team and Enterprise plans, and Anthropic's waitlist page says it is coming to Microsoft Teams, with no date (checked 17 October 2026). SlackBridge bridges a Slack channel to a Microsoft Teams channel. With Claude in the bridged Slack channel (relayed by default; the switch is in the bridge's Mapping settings), a person in Teams types @claude as plain text in a new message; the bridge posts it in Slack as a real mention; Claude Tag reacts and answers in a Slack thread; and the answer is posted into the Teams thread, labeled Claude (app). In SlackBridge's live test that last step took about two seconds after the answer appeared in Slack, and a follow-up typed in the same Teams thread was answered.
Your Slack-side setup takes minutes. What gates go-live is the Claude side: a Claude Team or Enterprise organization with Claude Tag launched in the bridged Slack channel and a funded usage balance. The Teams side needs nothing beyond the bridge: SlackBridge posts a one-time notice in the Teams channel the first time one of Claude's posts is relayed.
Anthropic's documentation says Claude Tag works in Slack, on Team and Enterprise plans, in public beta. Channel work needs no Claude seat per person: it bills the organization's usage balance under a spend limit an Owner sets.
Anthropic's waitlist page says Claude Tag launched in Slack and is coming to Microsoft Teams. There is no version to install and no date. Trade press reported in July 2026 that it is expected, and nothing more is public.
Agencies run Claude in Slack. Their clients approve, ask and decide in Teams. Copying Claude's answers across by hand is the gap a bridge closes, and it closes it without asking the client to install anything.

SlackBridge relays what people post and leaves Slack apps and bots out, with one default exception: Anthropic's Claude is relayed on every bridge unless the bridge's administrator switches it off in the dashboard, where other Slack apps in the channel can be switched on too. A relayed app's channel posts arrive in the bridged Teams channel labeled with its name and the word app, for example Claude (app), and the app is added to the bridge's list of addressable names so people in Teams can mention it. The first relayed post is followed by a one-time notice in the Teams channel.
Teams does not know the name while you type, because Claude is not in your Microsoft 365 tenant. You type @claude as plain text, SlackBridge reads it after the message is sent and posts it in Slack as a real mention of Claude. Claude Tag reacts, answers in a thread under that message, and SlackBridge posts the answer into your Teams thread. In SlackBridge's live test, Claude reacted about five seconds after the mention, short answers were posted in Slack about ten seconds after the question, a channel summary took under a minute, and each answer was in the Teams thread about two seconds after it appeared in Slack.
A new message in the bridged Teams channel, typed as plain text.
SlackBridge posts the message in the Slack channel with Claude properly mentioned.
Claude reacts with an emoji and replies in a thread under the relayed message.
Posted into the Teams thread as Claude (app), with Claude's icon when Slack supplies one and the bridge uses the default card style.
Two people do the work: the Owner of the Claude organization and the Slack-side SlackBridge account holder, often the same person. The Microsoft Teams side grants consent for the bridge once, as for any bridged channel, and sees a one-time notice the first time one of Claude's posts is relayed.
The Slack workspace runs Claude Tag, not the earlier per-user Claude in Slack app, which ignored every relayed mention in SlackBridge's test. Claude is a member of the bridged Slack channel and its Respond automatically setting is on. The Claude organization's usage balance is funded. The bridge is bidirectional with mentions on, and the Teams channel is a standard channel. The Slack channel is the organization's own, not a Slack Connect channel.
Each of Claude's messages arrives in Teams once, as first posted; SlackBridge does not relay edits, and in the live test Claude posted each answer as one message. Claude's emoji reactions arrive in Teams as a short note. In that test, one prompt, tried twice, got an emoji reaction and no reply; if that happens there is nothing to fix on the bridge. Claude can be mentioned up to ten times an hour per bridge, and relayed app messages are capped per day by plan. An app's text never carries bridged mentions of people: if Claude writes someone's name, it arrives in Teams as plain text and notifies nobody.

The agency runs Claude Tag in its Slack channels. Clients who live in Teams can ask it questions in the bridged channel and get the answer in their own thread.
Engineering on Slack, the rest of the business on Teams. One bridged channel per team can give the Teams side the same Claude the Slack side has.
Support channels bridged into each customer's Teams tenant, with the MSP's Claude able to answer first-line questions where the customer already is.
On the waitlist and need it now. A bridge can cover the bridged channels until a native version ships, and keep covering the ones that stay bridged with Slack.
Not natively, as of 17 October 2026. Anthropic's documentation says Claude Tag works in Slack, and Anthropic's waitlist page says it is coming to Microsoft Teams, with no date. Through a SlackBridge bridge it works today: a Teams user types @claude in a channel that is bridged to a Slack channel where Claude Tag is launched, and Claude's answer comes back into the Teams thread. SlackBridge verified that on a live bridge on 17 October 2026.
Anthropic's waitlist page says Claude Tag is coming to Microsoft Teams; no version or date has been announced. SlackBridge is not a Claude app for Teams; it is a channel bridge between Slack and Teams that relays Claude's Slack posts into the Teams side of a bridge, on by default. SlackBridge is an independent product from Square Post Labs Inc. and is not affiliated with Anthropic, Slack Technologies or Microsoft.
Claude Tag is available on Claude Team and Enterprise plans, and Anthropic's documentation says it is not available on the individual Free, Pro or Max plans. The earlier per-user Claude in Slack app, where each person links their own Claude account, ignored every mention posted by another app in SlackBridge's test, and a relayed Teams message is such a mention, so that app does not work for this.
Mention @Claude yourself in a Slack channel Claude is in. A reply that starts with "Using the legacy Claude in Slack bot" is the earlier per-user app. A reply that ends with a footer naming the model and a Configure link is Claude Tag. A notice that the organization is out of usage credits is also Claude Tag, with an unfunded usage balance.
No. Anthropic bills channel work by usage to the Claude organization's usage balance, under a spend limit an Owner sets, and its documentation says Slack users do not each need a Claude seat for channel work. The Teams users need nothing beyond the bridged channel.
On the SlackBridge side, nothing extra: the free plan or Pro, with relayed app messages capped at 1,000 a day per bridge on Free and 10,000 on Pro. On the Anthropic side, Claude Tag's channel work draws on the Claude organization's usage balance within the spend limit set on the Claude usage page. In SlackBridge's test, a Team organization with no balance got a short notice from Claude instead of an answer.
No new app. The SlackBridge bridge is the only thing on the Teams side: the Microsoft 365 administrator grants consent once, the same as for any bridged channel. Teams does not know the name while you type, so @claude is typed as plain text and nothing is picked from the suggestion popup.
In SlackBridge's live test on 17 October 2026, Claude reacted with an emoji about five seconds after the relayed mention, short answers were posted in Slack about ten seconds after the question and a channel summary in under a minute, and each answer appeared in the Teams thread about two seconds after it appeared in Slack.
Yes, inside the thread Claude has already answered in. Anthropic's documentation says every reply in a thread Claude is in reaches it, and SlackBridge tested a follow-up typed in the Teams thread and got the right answer. Start a new top-level message for a new topic.
SlackBridge does not know Anthropic's plans or dates. A channel that is bridged between a Slack side and a Teams side still needs a bridge, and the Claude already running in the Slack channel keeps answering through it.
Standard Teams channels. Typed mentions do not work in private or shared Teams channels, and Anthropic's documentation says Claude Tag does not reply to a mention posted by another app in a Slack Connect channel, so the Slack channel has to be the organization's own.
No. SlackBridge relays message text and does not persist it; each relayed message leaves a small metadata record, as the data retention article describes. Claude's own handling of the conversation is governed by Anthropic's terms for Claude Tag.
